A Digital Marketing Case Study : A Baltimore Photographer Gets Found Online

dont-blink=photography search engine optimization case study
1st Page Keyword Rank For Dont Blink Photograph

The client “Don’t Blink Photography” in Baltimore MD had been in business for three years. We worked with them with the primary purpose of getting them more leads. We claimed and optimized their business in the major on line directories, Yahoo,Google, Bing, Local.com.YP.com and Yellow pages.com, plus those specific to their industry- WeddingWire.com and Thumbtack.com, etc.Plus review sites Yelp, MerchantCircle and The Patch. They had no substantial web presence other than a website they personally designed via the “Printroom”,an online photographers gallery site. The site wasn’t optimized for search and was also using ‘Flash” because of its “Wow” factor…not my words. They had a pretty site, yet no clients…
Here’s a basic step by step of what we did for Don’t Blink Photography
1. We set up a seconday “shadow” WordPress site to use for ranking and backlink building for the
client ,
2. Claimed and optimized their online directory listings,
3.Set up and optimized their Facebook and Twitter feeds.
4. Set up a Google + page before they were incorporated with Google Places and
5. Set up a Youtube Channel and created 3 videos from their photo galleries.
Results…. Within 30 days we began to see a consistent rise in their profile within the search engines.
